Who We Are
The Pediatric Transplant House offers warm, family-style living that allows parents and siblings to stay together with the transplant patient, rather than limiting lodging to a single caregiver. Originally the very first Gift of Life Transplant House, which opened in 1984, this home was thoughtfully remodeled to meet the unique needs of pediatric transplant families and officially reopened in August 2025. The house features three private bedrooms and welcoming shared spaces designed for comfort and connection, including a toy room, a movie room, and a library/computer room.
Pediatric Transplant House Tour
*Note: The video tour cannot replace an in-person tour. If your child is going through the transplant journey and your family is in need of lodging, please call 507-288-7470 to learn more information and book an in-person tour.
Guest Eligibility
We provide lodging to solid organ, BMT, stem cell and CAR-T transplant patients and their caregivers. Accommodations are available during your transplant work-up, transplant and follow-up appointments. There is no limit to your length of stay – you may stay as long as necessary or just overnight. Prior to staying at the house, you will be asked to take a tour.
For pediatric patients and their families, if you have any questions call us at 507-288-7470.
Cost
We charge $30.00 per night for lodging and a $40.00 once per visit cleaning fee. Payments may be made by cash, check, or credit card. Please Note: We do not accept American Express.
